Clifton Arnold Harrington

Obituary

Clifton Arnold Harrington, age 82, of Stotts City, Missouri, passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017, at his home.  He was born November 28, 1934, in Joplin, Missouri, the son of the late Richard and Etta (Brunson) Harrington.

Clifton graduated in 1953 from high school in Dallas, Texas and attended Arlington State College in Arlington, Texas.  He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean War era.  Clifton was a cattle producer and a member of the Prairie Flower Bible Church in Webb City, Missouri.

On July 22, 1956, he married Alice Irene Avery, in Penrose, Colorado.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alice; one daughter, Janet Eppard and her husband, Dale, of Granby, Missouri; one son, Daniel Harrington and his wife, Laura, of Lexington, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Ginger, Denton, Elizabeth, Natalie and Hannah; six great-grandchildren and one brother, Barry Harrington and his wife, Suzanne, of Dallas, Texas.

His parents, Richard and Etta, preceded him in death.

A funeral service under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the Prairie Flower Bible Church in Webb City, Missouri.  Burial will follow at the Osborne Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri.  Visitation will be held from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017, in the funeral home chapel.

Memorial donations may be made to the Prairie Flower Bible Church, in care of the funeral home.
