Obituary

Janet Marie Breese, age 75, of Verona, Missouri, passed away at 8:04 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.  She was born February 11, 1942, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leslie and Delores (Chapman) Allman.

Janet was a 1959 graduate of Anaheim Union High School, in Anaheim, California.  She worked in the maintenance department for Cox Hospital in Monett, Missouri and volunteered for the American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels in Mt. Vernon.

She was married to Robert L. Breese for 24 years, until his passing on April 3, 2005.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Julie Stolting and her husband, Roger; son, Glenn Callison and his wife, Kristina and their father, John Callison, all of Verona; five grandchildren, Charlene Weber and her husband, Josh of Rutland, South Dakota, John Frank and his wife, Jennifer of Jurupa Valley, California, Rebekah, Rachel and Seth Callison, all of Verona; three great-grandchildren, Lacie Weber, Clayton Weber and Aubrey Frank; one sister, Pamela Allman of Boise, Idaho and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, Leslie and Delores; her husband, Robert; and two brothers, Wayne and Leslie Allman, preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Janet’s Life will be held from 4:00–6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at The MARC, in Mt. Vernon.  Burial will be at the Lee Cemetery in Verona.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Memorial donations may be made payable to the American Red Cross or the 4 State Search and Rescue in care of the funeral home.
