Obituary

Jewel Maxine Pinson, age 101, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away at 5:28 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.  She was born January 22, 1916, in Ash Grove, Missouri, the daughter of the late Joseph Piller and Minnie Adline (Alsup) Brannon.

Jewel was a dairy farmer and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Crescent Chapter #21 in Springfield and was of the Baptist faith.

On October 28, 1930, she married Claude Carthel Pinson, in Maysville, Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death on August 18, 1980.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Garner and Fern Deighton and her husband, Grant, all of Bolivar; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, Joseph and Minnie; husband, Claude; daughter, Joyce Osantowski; son, Carl Pinson and 13 brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

A graveside service, under the direction of the Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home in Miller, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
