Randall "Randy" Pendleton
Randall Leon “Randy” Pendleton, age 57, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at his home. He was born July 24, 1959 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of the late Melvin Leon and Mary Evelyn (Hill) Pendleton.
Randy retired after serving 22 years in the United States Marine Corps, was president of Mt. Vernon Eagles Lodge # 4362 and was of the Baptist faith.
On December 26, 1977, he married Elizabeth “Wileen” Carroll, in Halltown, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Wileen, of the home; two sons, Randall (Beverly) Pendleton of Miller, Missouri and Jeremy Pendleton of Mt. Vernon; four grandchildren, Kaylee, Austin, Mason and Randi; three brothers, Rick (Cyndie) Pendleton and Russell (Cheryl) Pendleton, all of Miller, Robert (Janice) Pendleton of Willard, Missouri; one step-brother, Johnny (Cinda) Copeland of Bois D’arc, Missouri; three step-sisters, Carol (Larry) Merritt of Nixa, and Betty (Terry) Steeley and Kathy Johnson, all of Springfield; his step-mother, Wilma Pendleton of Springfield, several nieces and nephews and his military family.
His parents, Melvin and Mary and brother-in-law, Jim Johnson, preceded him in death.
A funeral service with full military honors will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
Memorial donations may be made to the Marines Helping Marines, in care of the funeral home.
