Obituary

Vernie Louise Bradley, age 86, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 5:10 a.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at the Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon.  She was born May 27, 1930, in Sarcoxie, Missouri, the daughter of the late Emmett and Anna (Kruse) Parks.

Vernie was a 1948 graduate of Pierce City High School and worked as an office clerk at the Missouri State Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon.  She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Sarcoxie, where she served as past president of the Ladies Aid.

On November 19, 1949, she married Billie Bradley, in Sarcoxie, Missouri     

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Billie; two sons, Randy Bradley, of Los Angeles, California and Galen Bradley and his fiancé, Mickie Turpin, of Hudson, Florida; two brothers, Norman Parks of Galena, Kansas and Emmett Lee Parks of Webb City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Brandi and Zachery Gilliland and four great-grandchildren.

Her parents, Emmett and Anna, daughter, Kela Gilliland and two brothers, Raymond and Cecil Parks preceded her in death.

A funeral service under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Sarcoxie. Burial will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in the funeral home chapel.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of the funeral home.

so sweet to everyone. The video was excellent.
